Since 2011, Alice Charity has been a lifeline for children and families facing hardship in our community.

Real Stories. Real Impact.

After separating from her husband due to domestic abuse, a mum needed support rebuilding her confidence and managing day-to-day life. She had never handled finances before and felt overwhelmed trying to pay bills and navigate independence.

We referred her to specialist services and provided guidance on money management. To ease her isolation, we attended local community groups with her—helping her connect, make friends, and rebuild her self-esteem.

She’s now thriving: taking her child out confidently, surrounded by supportive friendships and a growing network.

Following a referral, we supported a family of three children facing emotional and behavioural challenges, including mental health struggles and self-harm. The family had also experienced a recent bereavement.

We coordinated mental health services and began weekly in-school sessions with the youngest child, focusing on emotional expression and positive coping skills.

As a result, the child is beginning to apply new strategies and the family feels more supported. The impact has been clear: reduced worries and improved emotional wellbeing across the household.
